We strive to support student organizations and campus departments that want to host events related to lifelong activity and wellbeing. Complete this form to be considered for wellbeing funding for your event. The mission of campus recreation is to connect, educate and inspire people to lifelong activity and wellbeing. Our leadership team will review all funding requests for alignment with our 目标, 影响, 以及资金的可用性. Requests should be submitted at least three weeks in advance of the event or initiative.

幸福 is a humanistic approach to life incorporating several dimensions. Achieving an optimal level of wellbeing is an ongoing personal journey. The concept of wellness is holistic, meaning that one area cannot be neglected while another is fulfilled.

Maintaining the health of your body

物理 wellbeing involves being attentive to your body’s needs. This includes seeing your physician regularly, getting sufficient sleep each night, 饮食均衡, 保持肌肤水润, and getting plenty of exercise.

社会 wellbeing emphasizes the importance of relationships. Connecting with others to share life experiences allows you to exchange support and develop a sense of fellowship and belonging. Those who are socially well create relationships based on interdependence instead of codependency. These healthy relationships involve mutual trust and respect.

Awareness of Personal Beliefs

精神上的 wellbeing is about exploring and discovering the meaning and purpose of life. Each person’s understanding of spirituality can be religious or secular; spiritually balanced people have an appreciation for the depth of life and a thorough understanding of themselves. 探索 spiritual and religious student organizations.

In Spring 2020, we surveyed to assess the wellbeing of students.

  • 59% of students get at least seven hours of sleep a night
  • 65% of students eat fruit or vegetables daily
  • 74% of students have a faculty or staff member who they can talk to about their 目标
  • 80% of students agree that there are faculty or staff who help them feel like they belong at the university.
  • 55% of students get at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity five times a week.
